Learn more about the area where the winning sculpture will be placed.

The legacy of Chattanooga’s dynamic urban planning begins with Miller Plaza. Completed in 1988 in the heart of the original city, Miller Plaza has won several architectural awards for its design and commendations for bringing together a park, pavilion, commercial buildings and a stage all in one cohesive space. During the day, its fountains and landscaped areas offer a popular spot for lunch or a quiet place to pause. On Friday nights from May through September, its pavilion and performance stage come alive with world-renowned musicians and masses of eager spectators during the Nightfall Concert series. For a variety of reasons, Chattanoogans continue to gather, exhibit and enjoy all that Miller Plaza was built to offer.
The Hunter proposes to place the winning sculpture in the circular brick area on the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Market Street, allowing optimum visibility for drivers and pedestrians alike.
