Learn

Education is at the heart of the Hunter Museum of American Art. You may learn by exploring the galleries with a friend and sharing ideas as you gaze at works of art. Or you may discover fascinating facts about an artist while on a guided tour. You may find deeper meaning in a work of art while listening to a concert in our grand foyer or you may discover your own artistic skills while taking an art class in our studios. There are infinite opportunities for learning and growth at the Hunter Museum.

This section of the website will help you navigate some of these paths. Educators are encouraged to consult the educator section to learn more on bringing tours and to discover links to your classroom learning. Adults can learn more about our many programs and continuing education opportunities - from workplace training to art classes - in our adults section. Families can explore the many opportunities in the Youth and Families portion and everyone is invited to connect with a variety of multimedia resources in our Connect area.

Come and learn with us at the Hunter Museum of American Art.
